Time Out Being in the Now

“Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” –Matthew 6:31-34

In this time of the Awakening our focus shifts from the material life to the spiritual life. For centuries technological advances have been made: from horse and buggy to car, to train, and plane, from letter mail to email, from land line phones to cell phones and so much more. We have achieved all the creature comforts and continue to strive for more. The Awakening is about living and focusing less on the material and more on the spiritual life style. It is about acquiring a spiritual view of all that is around us as well as that which is inside of us. We are all energy, everything in the universe, in heaven and earth, it is energy. For us to be whom God calls us to be we have to exercise our spiritual nature using a Christ-mind to bring about a new heaven and earth. In order to heal ourselves as well as to grow in a higher spiritual understanding we have to focus on being in the now.

What does it mean to be in the now? It means that you do not focus on the past, the mistakes, the hurts, the abuse, the illnesses or the broken relationships. You let it all go as it does not benefit you now; this may take therapy and much prayer. You do not focus on the future. Sometimes people try to map out how their future will look; this does not mean that you do not have hopes and dreams for the future but you do not dwell on the future so much that you miss what is happening now. God is present now, you and God are one now. Matthew 6:34 advises us, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” There is an internal peace being in the now. Releasing the past and the future relaxes as well as focuses you in the present.

Our purpose for being is to learn the lessons that come our way and living, moving and being in the commands of God. It is about love not judgment of one another. It is about accepting that we are all on an individual journey and our individual journey’s often times collide into other’s on their own journey.

This is just the beginning of a spiritual Awakening.

Time Out: Awaken me O Lord to Your spiritual understanding.
